those "empty" years
From an HR perspective, one of the most intriguing aspects of a resume is the so-called "empty" years—periods without formal professional experience.
For me, these years have been anything but empty. They represent a time of immense personal growth and invaluable life lessons. From mastering self-discipline and navigating crises to honing teamwork skills and embracing continuous learning, these experiences have shaped me profoundly.

Here are a few of the accomplishments and skills I have gained outside a professional setting that I consider to be among the most valuable assets of my character:

-
I cared for a growing family and embraced motherhood—a lifelong role of immense responsibility that taught me patience, commitment, empathy, impeccable time management, and how to function under tremendous pressure.
-
I explored a wide range of hobbies and interests, which broadened my general knowledge, deepened my understanding of the world, and opened my eyes to new perspectives and experiences.
-
I devoted significant time to improving my mental and emotional health, both through professional therapy and personal efforts. This journey allowed me to gain a clear awareness of my strengths and weaknesses.
-
Moving abroad, I took multiple important steps to integrate into a new society and culture. These included language and professional courses, programs such as KOMPASS by ÖIF and Woman Professional, workshops, seminars, and participation in local community activities and traditions.
-
I built a community and developed a supportive network of long-lasting friendships with people from all over the world.
-
Finally, I navigated major life crises while facing constant rejection and the undervaluation of my worth in the labor market. Giving up was never an option. Instead, I continuously invested in myself, my skills, and my health—something I consider the greatest testament to my character.
